High-frequency electric knife operation instructions

A high-frequency electrocution is a medical device that produces thermal effects through high-frequency currents to perform tissue cutting, coagulation or ablation. The following is the instruction manual for the high-frequency electric knife:

一、Preparation before use

1. Check the equipment: Make sure that the host, foot switch, power cord and electrode accessories are not damaged and the connection is normal.

2. Install electrodes: Select a monopole/bipolar mode according to surgical needs. The monopole mode needs to be attached to the negative electrode plate (placed in the patient's muscle-rich parts, avoiding the bone protrusions and metal implants).

3. Disinfection preparation: Connect the sterilized electric blade to the host machine, check the cleanliness of the knife head to ensure no tissue residue.

二、Power-on setting

1. Turn on the power supply: connect to the 220V power supply, turn on the host switch, and complete the self-test program.

2. Mode selection: Select cutting (Cut) or coagulation (Coag) mode according to the tissue type, and mixing mode (Blend) is recommended for gastrointestinal surgery.

3. Power regulation: Refer to the standard setting (general cutting power is 40-60W, coagulation power is 60-80W), and obese patients can appropriately increase by 10-15%.

三、Intraoperative operation

1. Activate the device: Activate through the foot switch or handle button to avoid no-load activation before contacting the tissue.

2. Cutting skills: Keep the cutting head in contact with the tissue at an angle of 15-30°, move at a constant speed, and avoid long-term stay (single point operation

3. Hemostatic treatment: Use point-to-touch operation when coagulation, and the best effect is 1-2mm away from the bleeding point.

四、 Postoperative treatment

1. Turn off the equipment: Turn off the mains power first and then disconnect the power cord.

2. Cleaning and disinfection: Remove the cutter head and use a soft cloth to remove the eschar and wipe the body with a special disinfectant.

Notes:

1. It is prohibited to use in environments with flammable anesthetic gases

2. Patients installing a pacemaker should use it with caution

3. The contact area of  the negative plate must be >100cm²

4. The equipment temperature should be checked if it is used continuously for more than 1 hour.
